What to Expect

Have leftover yarn you're not sure what to do with? Join us at Unwind GR for a Scrunchie Bag workshop! The Scrunchie Bag by Loupy Studio is a great stash busting striped bag written in both knit and crochet instructions! The pattern is included with the purchase of this workshop! Knit materials: US 8/5mm needles Two colours of DK yarn (at least 150m or 75g of each color is recommended) Crochet materials: 4mm/G hook Two colors of DK Weight yarn totalling ~350g Other Materials: 2.5m-4m cord, ribbon, or sturdy chunky yarn stopper for cord (optional) stitch markers (optional) This pattern is best as a scrap / odd ball project. You can also hold thinner yarns together to make one of the colours. A great choice would be holding a fingering or sock weight yarn held double. It is also possible to use slightly chunkier yarn scraps. If you do this, try and balance out the fabric by making the opposite stripe a slightly thinner yarn (like a sock held with mohair). This will prevent that section of the bag from being too rigid.
