But, you can also use fingering weight yarn held double to achieve this weight. I did this when knitting up the size large to test the pattern and used approx. 110 grams of fingering weight total for a Mens US Size 10. This is a great and fun way to use up some leftover bits of yarn and have a fun marled pair of scrappy socks! Or grab two fingering weight skeins out of your stash and use them up. So many fun stash busting possibilities when holding fingering weight double for these socks!
