Intro to Colorwork Knitting

What to Expect

During this 2 session class, we will be learning the basics of colorwork knitting! We will be working through the Colourwork Scrunchies pattern by Dr Dianna which is a free Ravelry download. Session 1 will be getting started knitting in the round and how to incorporate your contrast color and learning about color dominance. Session 2 will be finishing the construction of the scrunchie. Session 1: July 21st from 5:30-7pm Session 2: July 28th from 5:30-7pm Materials needed: - 2 or more colors of your choice of yarn. The pattern is written for fingering weight, but can be worked in sport weight or DK weight, - US3/3.25mm 16" circular needles or size needed for your yarn/gauge - Stitch markers - Tapestry needle for weaving in ends and sewing together - Crochet hook for crocheting edges together (optional) We welcome you to bring your own supplies for classes and workshops! A 15% discount will be given to participants for any supplies purchased at Unwind GR for this class. Prerequisites: Participants should know the basics of knitting like how to cast on, knitting, purling, and binding off. Refreshers can be given during class if needed!
