Level 2: Learn how to create colorwork designs using the intarsia technique!


What to Expect

Intarsia is a knitting technique that uses multiple colors of yarn to create designs and patterns in your work. Join us for an intarsia workshop! We will be learning how to read a color chart, how to add yarn, interlock stitches, and weave in ends in the design. Patterns/charts will be included in this workshop. This intarsia technique is worked flat and can be incorporated in garments or tapestry designs. Materials needed: - We will have yarn to use for this workshop, but you are welcome to bring your own. You will need 2 balls on yarn in contrasting colors. All the yarns used for an intarsia design should be the same weight. - US 7-8 (4.5mm-5.00mm) knitting needles or knitting needles that correspond with your yarn if bringing your own. - Scissors - Tapestry needles We welcome you to bring your own supplies, but will have materials available for purchase as well as for in-store use during this workshop. Prerequisites: Participants should be confident in knitting and purling. No colorwork experience necessary.
