Granny Square 101 and Bag Workshop

What to Expect

A granny square is a crochet motif made in the round using double crochet clusters that can be used to make bags, blankets, sweaters, hoods, and more! During this 4 hour workshop, we will cover the basics of making a granny square like how to work in the round, change colors, weave in ends, and join squares together to make a triangle bag! Materials needed: - DK or worsted weight cotton yarn (cotton not required, but recommended for bags). - Crochet hook for your size yarn - Tapestry needle for weaving in ends and sewing scares together We welcome you to bring your own supplies! We will have materials available for purchase in-store, if needed. Prerequisites: - Participants should be familiar and comfortable with double crochet and chain stitch. Refreshers can be given if needed!
