Granny Square 101

What to Expect

A granny square is a crochet motif made in the round using double crochet clusters that can be used to make bags, blankets, sweaters, hoods, and more! During this workshop we will cover how to work in the round, change colors, weave in ends as you go, and join squares together. Materials needed: -- We will have yarn to use for this workshop, but you are welcome to bring your own! Any weight yarn will work for this project. - Size G/6 - J/10 (4.00mm-6.00mm) crochet hook or any hook that correspond with your yarn if bringing your own. - Scissors - Tapestry needles We welcome you to bring your own supplies, but will have materials available for in-store use or for purchase, if needed. Prerequisites: - Participants should be familiar and comfortable with double crochet and chain stitch. Refreshers can be given if needed!
