African Flower Granny Hexagon Workshop
Learn to crochet the African Flower Granny Hexagon!
What to Expect
The African Flower Granny Hexagon is a fun spin on the traditional granny square. This is beginner friendly, but you should know how to crochet prior to this workshop. See recommended skills listed below. Heidi Bears uses the african flower granny hexagon motif in many of her fun stuffed animal patterns. This workshop will just be going through the instructions on making one hexagon. The goal is to make one hexagon during the workshop, and participants will have the pattern instructions and skills to make many more at home! Materials: Yarn: We will have stash yarns for participants to use, but feel free to bring your own stash yarns. They should all be the same weight, but you can make the granny hexagon in any yarn weight you’d like! Crochet Hook: Hook size will be dependent on your yarn, it is recommended to size down your hook below the recommended hook size for your yarn to achieve a good stitch pattern definition. Scissors Helpful Skills to Know Beforehand: Chaining Double Crochet Slip Stitch This pattern doesn’t use a magic ring!
